BioConnect: Connecting Student Research to Real-World Impact (Summer 2025)
BioConnect is a matchmaking program designed to bridge the gap between student research and real-world biotech innovation.
What it is
Student research teams bring their research topics. We connect them with startups or industry players working on similar challenges in the field, for a 1-Hour discussion.
Students get to explore how their work aligns with real-world efforts and receive direct feedback from experts in the field.
Why it matters
The hardest part of biotech is turning research paper to real products. Most students never have the chance to test their research work beyond the lab. BioConnect gives them access to the frontlines
- Understand what actually gets funded, adopted, or scaled
- Learn how real companies validate, adapt, or abandon concepts
- Refine your research questions with insight from the field
How it works
- Student research teams come with their research topic and a list of biotech companies or startups they’re interested in.
- BioConnect organizes a 1-hour virtual session for Q&A, feedback, and discussion with these companies
