Honestly Impactful: Biofounder Q&A Series (Summer 2025)
What it is
Honestly Impactful is a webinar series spotlighting real biotech founders on their journeys from 0 to 1. We invite founder to share their story behind building a biotech company: the doubts, failures, hard choices — and why it’s still worth it. These are closed, small-group sessions for 25 MSc and PhD life science students from the Rhein-Main region (Frankfurt, Darmstadt, Mainz).
Why it matters
Most students are trained to publish. Few are shown how to build. These founders are the role models students rarely see — someone who is doing the hard part of turning papers into something real. We aim to show the reality of bio-entrepreneurship with honest conversations. No hype.
How it works

- BIOVOX: Certified Medical-grade Bioplastics for MedTec & Lab., cutting healthcare plastic CO₂ by up to 85%.
📅 29th July 2025, Tuesday | 15:30 – 17:00 CET – Miriam Schulze (CEO & Co-Founder, BAYOOMED)
- BAYOOMED: Develops certified medical software and the MedicalOne Connect digital-health platform that links doctors, patients and industry; with >100 healthcare apps and tools already up and running.
Program
1.5 HOUR per session
• 30 min — Intro to various entrepreneurial mindset, student discussion
• 10 min — Founder story & startup intro
• 30 min — Host-led Q&A
• 20 min — Open student questions
